Designing Dynamic Seating

No two days are the same. You make sure everything flows smoothly:
- Preparing finished seats for forwarding
- Order picking of seats and parts
- Internal relocation of seats between departments
- Packing and preparing products for shipment
- Warehouse support and stock management
- Contributing to a neat and organized workplace
- Moving and setting up seats in the showroom (in collaboration with sales)
- Responding quickly to urgent internal logistics assignments
- You use a CNC-operated woodworking machine to carry out the drilling and milling operations on parts that will be used to build the frame of our designer seating furniture.
- You are responsible for the settings and loading of the CNC machine and subsequently sort the milled parts.
- You carry out first-line maintenance and independently mount the correct machine tools.
- You help maintain the order, cleanliness and safety of the machines and the work area.
- You report to the team leader of the woodworking department.
- Upholster the frames of new models and complete the first prototypes – from foam to finished seating.
- Collaborate closely with our frame builders, sewing department, and R&D project leaders to complete the puzzle together.
- Share your expertise: guide upholsterers and assemblers to ensure smooth production of new models.
- Contribute to instructions and test setups that form the foundation of our top quality.
- Act not only as a prototype maker but also as a true bridge builder within the R&D team.
You start with supporting tasks and gradually learn the entire process:
- You will help prepare parts such as armrests, cushions and seating surfaces
- You remove and replace upholstery (fabric or leather) and prepare parts for finishing
- You assemble parts and secure them securely (screwing, gluing, attaching)
- You work together with experienced colleagues who teach you the trade
- You gradually grow into more complex tasks in the production process
- Upholster frames with leather or fabric, ensuring a perfectly finished result.
- Work closely with the assembly department – occasionally lending a hand there as well.
- Think along, solve practically, and raise the quality bar together with your team.
- Work in an environment where craftsmanship and modern techniques complement each other.
- Maintain and deepen relationships with existing dealers while actively developing new partnerships in Bavaria, Switzerland, and Austria.
- Support and train sales staff so they can convincingly represent JORI’s values and comfort DNA.
- Represent JORI at trade fairs, events, and commercial meetings, strengthening our brand presence in the region.
- Monitor market and design trends, analyze competition, and translate opportunities into concrete actions.
- Accurately record sales activities in the CRM system and monitor your targets.
- Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams, reporting to the Sales Manager.
- Lead, coach, and develop the R&D team (engineers, prototype specialists, and technical designers).
- Define and execute the R&D planning and priorities to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Contribute to the development of both short- and long-term objectives for the department.
- Optimise processes, project methodologies, and collaboration within the team.
- Coordinate and monitor the full R&D development process using a stage-gate methodology.
- Develop and validate new products through 2D/3D CAD design, prototyping, and testing.
- Prepare new models for production and ensure a smooth and successful industrialisation process.
