JORI Andante redefines what a reclining chair can be. Conceived by internationally acclaimed designer Jean-Pierre Audebert with a single uncompromising ambition — to create a chair of the same iconic standing as the Eames Lounge — Andante is the first relax fauteuil that functions with equal conviction as a pure design object.
For the architect specifying a high-end residential or hospitality interior, Andante resolves a longstanding tension: the desire for supreme ergonomic comfort and the imperative of uncompromised aesthetic coherence. Andante does not ask you to choose.

Jean-Pierre Audebert occupies a rare position in European furniture design: a designer whose work has consistently shaped the language of premium seating over multiple decades. His brief for Andante was explicit — produce
a chair that inhabits a room as an artwork inhabits a gallery, and reclines with the precision of a masterwork.
The result is a chair whose true nature is concealed within its form. To the uninitiated observer, Andante presents as an elegant lounge chair. Only through experience does its full ergonomic sophistication reveal itself. This is intentional design intelligence at the highest level.
FORMAL RESOLUTION
Andante is characterised by continuous organic curves, a studied absence of hard angles, and a silhouette that respects the horizontal plane of any interior. Its proportions are calibrated to the human figure across all morphologies, supported by a height-adjustable backrest that offers a seamless continuum of positions — from composed uprightness to full, generous recline.
The console bridging the two back elements is both a structural resolution and a considered formal gesture, contributing to the chair’s sculptural coherence from every angle of view.
MATERIAL SPECIFICATION
The rear elevation is executed in natural wood; the front in the specifier’s choice of leather or premium textile. This material juxtaposition — the warmth of timber meeting the refinement of upholstery — gives Andante a depth
of presence appropriate to the most demanding interior contexts.
