Efforts of the Belgian brand rewarded with several awards
The Belgian design furniture company JORI has had a strenuous year and this has not escaped the notice of the international expert jury. Today the brand sees its investments rewarded with a series of important nominations and recognitions.
The recent design WING, the hybrid sofa of designer Hugo de Ruiter (NL), was regaled on several nominations by the international expert jury. In Milan, the ingenious WING qualified for the I-Novo Design Awards 2016 and the Archiproducts Design Selection 2016. In Germany the creation was awarded the prestigious label ‘German Design Awards Special 2017’ and as ultimate pinnacle the Dutch judging-committee referred the new sofa to the podium of ‘Good Industrial Design 2016’.
The design WING joins with these recognitions the list of former award winners: armchair Chillap (Verhaert/B), chair Bloom (David Fox/UK) and desk Hortense (Pocci + Dondoli/IT).
Also JORI’s ceaseless research for online customer support has not escaped the keen eye of the judging-committee. Because of its high performance and user friendly features, the online JORI product configurator was awarded the 1st spot on the ‘Common (IBM) Benelux Power Excellence Awards 2016’ within the category application development. Thanks to this victory, the JORI product configurator will be directly placed for the European Power Excellence Awards in March and will be handled as a case study at IBM International.
With all these recognitions achieved, the Belgian brand looks back with satisfaction and motivation at a strenuous year of investments and product development.
