Continuously striving to achieve the highest quality, that’s the core of the JORI-DNA. Day after day we challenge ourselves to make excellent products even better. Our loyal partners and our end customers need to be able to rely on the innovative JORI seating comfort and it’s durability at all times, that’s where JORI stands for.
During the last few weeks our team has been working hard to offer you the following product updates & improvements :
1. New seating cushions for model Shiva (with immediate application)
Making the Shiva seating cushions more resistant to long-lasting usage, still maintaining a contemporary design, was one of the product improvements with a top priority. Both the current HR-cold cure foam, as well as the down-like seating cushions, will be replaced by one type of new and improved cushion.
This will result in a less explicit look compared to the current down-like filling, yet still offering the beloved soft down-look and assuring a highly-qualitative full-supporting seating comfort to last for years. The JORI configurator is already updated with this change.
2. More user friendly mechanism for the adjustable armrest (application starting for new orders January 2019)
The mechanism of the adjustable armrests on the models Linea, Tosca, Indy, Espalda & Chinook has been improved to a more user friendly version offering 11 different positions instead of 4. In brief, more tunable to your personal comfort without any extra cost.
3. Tosca Design-Update (application starting for new orders January 2019)
Next to the updated adjustable armrest, JORI decided to give a slight design refresh to this Bauhaus-inspired hard runner. Both halves of the seating and the back now visually merge without losing the typical Tosca curves. The seating and back foam is more dense avoiding extreme fold formation in the case of finish in fabric and assuring the well-known innovative JORI-comfort.
4. Extra back cushion for the Longueville Landscape
This model now also comes with an additional small back cushion 60x60 cm allowing to have two back cushions side by side in a 170 cm sofa. You will notice that while using the configurator you can choose between back cushions 60x60 cm or 60x70 cm for each and every Longueville Landscape element. Please note that the 60x60 cm back cushion has been designed specifically for the 170 cm sofa.
5. Loose headrest and removable covers Tigra collection (with immediate application)
- You have a customer asking for an additional headrest on his Tigra Divanbase (and soon also for Tigra Landscape)? Then the mobile Tigra headrest is your answer! Easy to use and ultimate relaxation guaranteed!
- As from today Tigra Open Base (JR-2225) and Tigra Landscape (JR-2226) have removable covers for all loose seating and back cushions.
- Tigra Open Base (JR-2225): The build on element 110 cm L/R (with mobile or fixed armrest) is no longer available since the potential Tigra buyer prefers wider elements.
6. Fabric Medina no longer available (starting from January 1st 2019)
JORI has been informed by its supplier that the Medina fabric has been taken out of collection. For that reason, unfortunately, we can’t take orders in Medina finish anymore starting from January 1st 2019.
7. Jori-care.com website
Tough questions about leather and fabric maintenance? No more worries or headaches with our brand new professional jori-care.com site. Jori-care.com gives answers to all your questions with reference to maintenance and cleaning of JORI furniture in leather or fabric. Following the specific need the end customer can order the right product for maintenance or cleaning using the online webshop.
8. German Design Awards 2019: Griffon Lounge
After receiving the distinction ‘Winner’ at the German Design Awards 2019, the innovative and ultra compact Lounge Chair Griffon, now also has been awarded as the number one for the prestigious ICONIC Innovative Interior Award 2019.
9. Configurator
With the launch of the configurator’s library there have been problems with saved PDF files. We strongly advice to delete all saved PDF configurations made before October 15th 2018 as they might have corrupt data. For optimal use of your current library a maximum of 10 configurations consisting of a maximum of 10 JORI products is recommended.
10. Models to be discontinued (orderintake till March 15th 2019)
- SOFAS: Lady (JR-9000), Longueville (JR-8150), Nerida (JR-1900/05), Chinook (JR-2910) and Espalda (JR-8750).
- RELAX and LOUNGE CHAIRS: Ovni (JR-4280), Icarus reclining chair (JR-7560), Orea (JR-7770), Bolero (JR-3330 and JR-7330) and Strike (JR-3670)
- ARMCHAIRS: Lindo (JR-8200)
- CHAIRS: Enoki (JR-5105)
- TABLES: Longueville (JR-t815)
- ACCESSOIRES: Gipsy (JR-p101), Lindo (JR-p820), Chinook (JR-p291) and Longueville (JR-p815).
These models can still be ordered until March 15, 2019.
