I couldn't go a day without my kids. But after a full day's work, packing lunches, washing sticky little hands and mopping up watercolours off the kitchen floor I'm always terribly relieved when they're safely tucked up in bed. It's only then that mum has some quality time to herself. No S-Club 7 or Eminem, but Bowie on the cd-player. No more beakers half-filled with yoghurt drink, but a nice glass of Burgundy from an excellent vintage. Stretched out on the settee, eyes closed, dreaming away in my JORI...
